I live next door to a blighted property, and the neighbor was just brought in front of the city for his negligence. We offered to buy the property from him, but he wants a ridiculous price. He says he wants to maybe sell to Road Home and then we can buy it from the "Lot Next Door" program.

Isn't it too late to sell to Road Home? All the deadlines I see say so, but I haven't kept up with all the extensions, exceptions, etc.

The last day to apply to The Road Home program was July 31, 2007, and the last day to complete an initial appointment was December 15, 2007

Please call 311 and report the blight.

Yep, he's been reported and brought before the city, fined, the whole nine yards. He's still not in compliance. If he registered with Road Home back when we all did, is it NOW too late to actually sell his home to them? He doesn't seem to know, and is still "stuck" in litigation with his ins. co.
