Always report theft or any type of crime for that matter by Calling 911.
Tell the operator that you do not have an emergency and wish to report a theft...
Let us try to stop using the word 'loot.'
Having a picture of your stuff that is missing always helps along with serial numbers if applicable.

Speaking of 911, LCPD police (this is the service that we as property owners pay the extra $100 a year for extra NOPD patrols) monitors the 911 system. So LCPD police will also be notified.

You should use 911 for the reporting EMERGENCIES ONLY, which I am sure there are plenty of. The system is taxed enough with real fires, assaults, Medical Emergencies and murders. Looting is a huge problem in Lakeview, especially for people like my sister (who is in the process of rebuilding from afar). Good thing she has a neighbor (who has rebuilt and is living in his house on Fleur de Lis) who watches her house. But theft, unless it is occurring at the time of the call, should be reported to a non-emergency line. That number is 821-2222, which can be obtained on City of NO website. There is also a form for reporting incidents on that same page.
