RENOVATORS HAPPY HOUR

Visit a raised-basement bungalow under renovation after Hurricane Katrina
flooded the basement with 3' of water. Like many New Orleans ground-level
basements, this one was finished out and used as an apartment by its
previous owner, who did not return to New Orleans after the storm. Russell
Armstrong and John Griffin bought the house and its contents seven monthsago. See how they have made progress not only on repairing the basement, but also on removing previous alterations to the home and reviving its historic character. Hear from the owners about the renovation process and how they have applied for a state income tax credit for the project. Refreshments - including wine - are included.
