If you buy a home that was flooded during THE EVENT
Tear down the existing structure
Can you still transfer the existing flood insurance that the prior home owner had?

Good question, I think it can be transfered. I had 2 homes next door to each other and we had them both demolished but had to pre-pay a years worth of home/flood coverage on both homes even though we are only building one home. I would like to be able to transfer policy to a new Lakeview resident who isn't able to get a reasonable rate. But I'm sure I can't do that.

Aaron, I think the owner can transfer the insurance and even the ICC part of the insurance to you $30,000 to tear down and rebuild to the 1984 BFE.

(the reason we had to pay for insurance on a home we demolished was beacuse the loan we applied for required it)
