State Farm called today:
"We noticed in your contract it states the removal of all bushes, sidewalks etc.."
ok
"That is not covered by ICC, you need to have your demolition company itemize the contract and deduct out everything that is not the home"
my response "they can't cross the sidewalk without destroying the sidewalk"
"Well they still need to change the contract"
The point of this, have your contractor state "for removal of the structure only" in the contract that you submit to your insurance company.
I told them that the Army Corp. of Engineers took away the only tree that fell in my yard, and they said I need to find the crew that did that and have them submit a letter that they did in fact remove a tree.
I laughed.
