To all lakeview residents- To those who don't know me, I am a lifelong Lakeview resident. I grew up at 6xxx General Diaz St. Since 1989, I have lived at 5xxx Memphis St. I am a trial attorney with a concentration in maritime and insurance litigation. 2 lawsuits were recently filed in Baton Rouge state court- 1 by an Alexandria attorney against the Orleans Levee District for the levee breach, and 1 by a Baton Rouge attorney against homeowners insurers. Both seek class action status which would allow them to represent all Lakeview residents and make a huge fee, with recovery for homeowners left in doubt. I STRONGLY urge all residents to proceed slowly and cautiously in this regard. Please obtain advice from your personal attorney or someone with a law degree whom you trust before you take any action or agree to become involved. I will answer any questions you have upon my return to the office next week after I go home for the first time to salvage whatever I can.
