I grew up in Lakeview but have lived away for many years. I returned to the city 2 weeks before Katrina and rented a place Uptown with an eye to spending a year house hunting. Now I've made my decision and I want to return and be a part of rebuilding Lakeview.

Looking for 1900 to 3000 sq ft, preferably split level or two story, 3 bedroom minimum or 2 bedrooms and an office, 2 baths, yard (no pools, sorry). Can be gutted or not at this point.

TG,

We have not put our house up for sale yet but planned on selling it. It is 3000 sq feet. 2nd floor fine with 2 full baths, 3 bedrooms and an extra room w/cedar lined closet on the "third floor" plus an attic. The downstairs has been gutted. Pre storm the downstairs had a living room, dining room, kitchen. breakfast room, den, 1 full bath, an office, and an office/bedroom. Plus gas and woodburning fireplaces. The layout was great, a very cozy feel for a spacious house. We put a new roof on in May. Upstairs tubs are whirlpool. Big yard. The house was completely redone 6 years ago. I'm not sure how much you were looking to spend but if you're interested please email me with subject line "louisville house" at
