I have hard pine hardwood floors in my house. Though there is some buckling here and there, the majority of the floors look fine. I had one person come over, and he said they can't be saved. I'm not crazy about the idea of losing these floors. Has anyone else had success in refinishing their flooded hardwood floors? If so, can you recommend a company that will do it? Thanks.

If you can find boards that are the same as the ones you have, and most of the floor is in good shape, your floor can be saved. You have to make sure that all the mostiure is gone underneath the floor. It would have to be totally sand down, and then restained. This also depends on certain factors. The main one is if your floor is attached to plywood over a slab, it will need to be taken up. I hope this helps.
